Some good new Christmas movies include the like of “Four Christmases” and “The Polar Express.” These are the newest of the new Christmas movies that are actually worth watching. Reese Witherspoon gives an exceptional performance in “Four Christmases” and lights up the screen alongside Vince Vaughn. It’s a story about the stress that comes along during the holidays regarding family. It’s not as bitter as it sounds, though. Along the way, Witherspoon’s and Vaughn’s character come to realize that family is an integral part of the holidays despite how much they torture and embarrass you. This is a common theme in many comedic Christmas movies, but it seems very original in “Four Christmases.” Good new Christmas movies wouldn’t be very good without this movie in the lineup. If you aren’t wild about the plot of the movie, watch it for Witherspoon and Vaughn themselves. As husband and wife on screen, they make a very interesting couple and one that can be appreciated throughout the entirety of the movies. There is something magical that happens on screen when they stand beside each other. Their is a deep romantic involvement and there is also a comedic aspect to their relationship that doesn’t allow things to get too serious. The movies entertains with a light romantic touch and an abundance of hilarity.
Other good new Christmas movies include the “Polar Express,” which is largely different in plot from “Four Christmases.” “Polar Express” is an animated Christmas adventure based off of the illustrated children’s book; however, it is a film that both child and adult can appreciate. The visual effects are stunning and will not fail to entertain you and leave you in awe. Tom Hanks does the voice of the Polar Express attendee and does an immaculate job. His voice give a warm feel to the movie as the Polar Express traverses all kinds of snowy landscapes. This is one of the good new Christmas movies because it is based off of a book and is just as good, or better, than the book it is based off of. This is rare for movies to accomplish, but “Polar Express” does it almost effortlessly. The movie will fill you with emotion and put you in the mood for the snowy weather and the holidays. Even if it doesn’t snow where you are from, “Polar Express” offers a fantastical escape into a snowy wonderland.
